Handmade, ultralight climbing and skiing gear. Designed, built, tested, and refined in the Tetons.
How we got here.
The summer before I moved to the Tetons, I made myself a sleeping bag, an insulated jacket, and a backpack in preparation (and poorness) for my new lifestyle. While the other gear is still around, I continued to obsess over the details of a good backpack. Through many iterations, I slowly realized that I could make packs that were better suited to my needs than the big brands offerings. Apocalypse Equipment was born when my friends and partners started to ask for the gear I was making.
Why Apocalypse?
In an era of disposable products and environmental catastrophe, Apocalypse packs are built to last.
What we do.
I make packs for fast and light skiing and climbing because that’s what I like to do. The beauty of the SaC is in its versatility. Folks have used my packs for hunting, bike packing, backpacking, running, and all sorts of other pursuits. Every pack is made with a focus on simplicity, functionality and durability. Exactly what you need and nothing that you don’t.
Craftsmanship
Each apocalypse model has been tested, refined, and improved by mountain guides and talented friends here in the Tetons. Packs get shredded, beat up, and destroyed and then I do my best to take feedback and failures to make them better. In an era of both disposable gear and environmental catastrophe, Apocalypse packs are built to handle years of abuse with grace.
