Ski Rope Bag for 6mm Static Ropes
Designed with efficiency during technical ski descents in mind, our rope bags are made with 6mm ropes such as the Rad Line and Beal Backup Line in mind. Available in 30m, 40m, and 60m sizes.
UltraGrid material is supple and lightweight but plenty durable for the purpose
Two reinforced grommet on the bottom secures the end of the rope for “throw bag” maneuvers and/or a tie in point
Daisy chain on the side for clipping to harness/anchor, and gear organization
Our philosophy at Apocalypse is that the best solution is often the most simple. While an old stuff sack may be the simplest answer as a rope bag, every time I pulled a rope out in one of these bags, my partners were asking how they could buy one. Organizing your ski ropes in these bags will minimize tangles and knots and provide the quickest possible access to your ropes when you need them. The addition of the tie in point on the bottom prevents loss of the bag and acts as a “stopper” to help prevent rappelling off the end of the rope.
Length based sizes are approximate and based on Petzl Rad/Beal backup line sizes. Consider sizing up for bulkier ropes. For example, I use a 40m bag for my 30m Mammut Glacier Cord.
Dimensions:
60m: 30cm x 13cm x 11cm
40m: 27cm x 10cm x 10cm
30m: 22cm x 10 cm x 10cm
